Custom Adidas Superstar: Batman The Dark Knight
These custom adidas superstars were done just as the Dark Night movie was coming out. The concept was to do one sneaker with batman, and the other with the menacing Joker.
The challenge in doing this pair was in all the detail needed to create a lifelike Joker face, along with some “bulletholes” and cracks that wrapped around the heel of the sneakers.
These were handpainted with professional leather paint and sealant.
You may also notice that these are superstars, so in that, the detailed task of painting carefully around the three line sections along the side to create a seamless image was done.
The Joker head came off onto the rubber sole a bit..which we dont recommend usually, however, we thought it would be cool to make the face pop out just that much more.
