The “locals only” show held at Lucy’s,(pride and joy of San Marvelous live music) was headlined by the hip hop collaboration group known as the Word Association.
The group is made up of local hip hop artists in San Marcos, Texas ( by way of Philadelphia, Jamaica, Tulsa, Corpus Christi, and Austin) who came together to put together a high energy driven show.
DJ Crown started the beats from his trusty spinning station while W.ill started the show off. As time and beats went by, one by one the local lyricists spat out rhymes making the audience groove to the tunes. Some of the artists included ADLIB and MATH of Compound Abstract and Chief formerly of Liquid Stereo Project, along with JAYSIN, SIGMA, JP, and PARK NASTY.
The liveliness of the group on stage together spread to the audience who continually swayed along with the music and definitely got my head nodding. Central Texans check these Mofoz out.
